• Border requirements – General information

Customs declarations have now become mandatory when transporting goods between the UK and EU. Please ensure that you have all the documentation required before crossing the border.

In addition to the existing border requirements, a GMR is now MANDATORY for ALL GB to EU and EU to GB transports, including for EMPTY vehicles.

The vehicle tractor registration number must be registered in the GMR in section 2 "About your vehicle" (not the trailer).

    - The tractor registration number arriving on the terminal MUST match the one recorded in the GMR.

If the GMR is invalid, the vehicle will be refused travel.
