Kent Access Permit
As a legal requirement, all HGVs over 7.5 tonnes that are intending to travel outbound from the UK via Eurotunnel must have a valid permit before arriving at Eurotunnel from 1 January 2021 onwards.
The UK Government will issue, via the new web service known as “Check an HGV is Ready to Cross the Border”, a Kent Access Permit digitally -ONLY required when leaving the UK for the EU- for every HGV for which the required information has been successfully provided.

From 1st January 2021, when arriving in Calais, you will be required to follow either the green itinerary for the A16 motorway or the orange itinerary to the Centre Douane SIVEP for further inspection.
The Driver Info web app available at driver.eurotunnelfreight.com notifies you of the itinerary to follow when your shuttle arrives in Calais.
