VP competition Terms and Conditions

 

 

This competition is operated by The Channel Tunnel Group Ltd with offices at UK Terminal, Ashford Road, Folkestone, Kent CT18 8XX (“Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight”)

Terms and Conditions of Entry

Acceptance of these terms and conditions is a condition of entry to the competition. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

i. The competition runs from 00:01(CET) on 05/11/2018 to 23:59 CET on 10/12/2018.

ii. All competition entries must be received by Eurotunnel Le Shuttle by no later than 23:59 CET on 10/12/2018. All competition entries received after that time will not be accepted. 

iii. To enter the competition scan the QR code printed on the leaflet or copy the URL fr.research.net/r/VP-service in your browser, complete our satisfaction survey for VP customers and confirm your registration number and email address. 

iv. There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. Duplicate entries will not be counted. 

v. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle does not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause.

vi. Only VP account holders are authorised to enter the competition when using the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle VP service and after completing the online satisfaction questionnaire. 

i. The competition is open to residents in any of the EU countries aged 18 years or over, except employees of Eurotunnel Le Shuttle their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the competition.

ii. By entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle may require you to provide proof of your identity and that you are eligible to enter the competition – you agree to cooperate with such enquiries.

iii. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle will not accept competition entries that are automatically generated by computer, completed by third parties or in bulk, illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with, photocopies and not originals or incomplete.

iv. By entering the competition you confirm that your entry form and any accompanying materials and submissions:

- do not contain any material which is defamatory of any person or which is obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;

- do not promote sexually explicit material, violence or any illegal activity;

- do not promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;

- do not infringe any rights of any other person.

- are not likely to deceive any person;

- are not made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;

- are not threatening, abusive or invade another’s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;

- are not likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person;

- are not used to impersonate any person, or to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person;

- do not give the impression that they emanate from Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, if this is not the case; or

- do not advocate, promote or assist any unlawful act such as (by way of example only) copyright or trade mark  infringement or computer misuse.

v. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition or if (in Eurotunnel Le Shuttle’s opinion) you are in breach of these terms and conditions.  Eurotunnel Le Shuttle reserves the right to contact the relevant authorities to report any inappropriate content you submit in connection with the competition or otherwise. 

i. One winner will be selected at random from all valid submissions. The winner will be notified by email using details provided at the end of the online questionnaire on or before 23:59 on 14/12/2018 and must respond to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight by return by email to freight@eurotunnel.com within 10 days of being notified they have won. 

ii. If a winner does not respond to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight within 10 days of being notified, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight will be entitled to select another winner at random.

iii. The decision of Eurotunnel Le Shuttle is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.

i. The prize is one a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. 

ii. There is no cash alternative for the prize and the prize is not negotiable or transferable.

i. The winner will need to agree with Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight at least 72 hours in advance the date, time and location for collecting the prize from one of the Passenger terminal reception desk in Folkestone or Calais. 

ii. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.

iii. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to collect the prize from the agreed location. If the prize is not collected by 15/01/2019, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight will be entitled to select another winner at random. 

Insofar as is permitted by law, Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, its agents and distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, its agents and/or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

i. All competition entries and any accompanying material submitted to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle will become the property of Eurotunnel Le Shuttle on receipt and will not be returned.

ii. You agree that Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight may make your entry and accompanying materials available on its website www.eurotunnelfreight.com and any other social media platform in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights, in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

i. By entering the competition, you agree that any personal data supplied to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle in connection with the competition (including your name, image and contact details) may be used by Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, its partners and/or any third party suppliers (as applicable) in connection with the administration of the competition. Please review Eurotunnel Le Shuttle’s Privacy Policy (available at www.eurotunnel.com/uk/privacy for more information on how Eurotunnel Le Shuttle may use your personal data. 

ii. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle may publish your name as applicable on the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight website at www.eurotunnelfreight.com. Your email address may also be used to contact you about the competition. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by Eurotunnel Le Shuttle. 

i. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions Eurotunnel Le Shuttle may, at its sole discretion, exclude you from participating in the competition, to withdraw the prize or to require you to return the prize if already received.

ii. Eurotunnel Le Shuttle reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

iii. If a provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, that part shall not affect the validity of the other provisions in these terms and conditions, and shall be severed from those provisions.

iv. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
